The United States Postal Service is terrible. They do not simplify your life. Not even a little. Just thought I'd mention this.

I disagree- I will never use UPS again for shipping (e.g., eBay sales). The USPS is always less expensive, fast, and I've never had a damage return. They'll even come to my house and pick up large packages.
