			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For nearly all of my life, I&#8217;ve lived in thriving communities.  About half of these were &#8220;on the grow,&#8221; while the others were simply sustaining.  (While a very young boy, I did live in a community that was in decline; I don&#8217;t have many significant memories of this city, however.)  As such, I am fascinated by urban decay.  It seems incredible to me that a city can simply collapse over time, regardless of the causes.  In my gut, I know it shouldn&#8217;t seem strange—entropy and all that.  Even still.</p>
